Capital Wetland Mitigation

Completed in 2024 in partnership with Whatcom County Public Works, Matia completed the construction and wetland mitigation of 3.5 acres of land. Careful planning of invasive species removal, soil amendment, mulch placement and planting of nearly 16,500 native plants created a new and improved habitat for birds, deer, and amphibians.
